If a crime was committed and there was a call sent out for witnesses, if someone knew something and didn’t respond, there would be blood on their own head. There is a sin of silence as well which are intentional, as well as sins committed that we are unaware of and later come to know. The Lord teaches that neither of these absolves guilt before the Lord. They are sins to be dealt with.
