When the people had leadership that was Godly, the people lived godly. Until they didn’t. Typically when they didn’t have leaders guiding them in righteousness and dealing with the evil, the people self-destructed.
The world needs Godly leadership. Men and women who seek and fear the Lord, and lead their people with godliness and wisdom. It seems like almost every nation on earth needs that in greater measure right now.
It’s no excuse for the people to sin, but righteous and good leadership matters. The only thing worse than bad leadership though is do away with it all.
